Hello everyone,

my name is Richard, and I am a 37 year old Scottish cyclist that has been living in Barcelona for the last ten years. I am going to come to Tenerife on the 19th of December for a one month road training/cycling holiday, and would like to know if anyone could help me with the following;

1) I would like to rent a room for the time I am there.
- Which is the best area to be based for the month, well located for training rides and situated in a peaceful and rustic environment etc.?
-Recommended web sites to search for a room, or do you know someone who may have something available?

2) I always enjoy going out riding and meeting new people, so if you have any contacts for groups or people who ride regularly that would be great.
If you could recommend some good training routes (of +/- 6 hours long) even better.

3) I am going to bring my MTB clip less pedals and shoes as well , and sometimes rent a bike to explore the island a bit more, so any help regarding this would also be appreciated.

3) What size are you? I have some nice MTBs available.

Hi,
thanks for your help and the links. I've sent e-mails to all the contactable clubs, and hopefully will receive some response.
I usually ride a size 18 or 19 inch (M or L) MTB, so if you have anything available let me know.

Hi,
I arrive on the 19/12 and am going to bring my road bike, and my MTB shoes and pedals, for when I rent a bike.
I've got my accommodation sorted, I'll be staying in La Oratava, so I'll probably get in touch to rent a MTB.

The link is a photo taken on the pico de Veleta, in Andalucia, this October.
Even though it is sunny it was bloody freezing, and it was lucky we climbed it then as it snowed the next day!!
