There's usually a full contingent of dudes (myself included) who take #348 bus up to el Portillo.
It's quite a sight to see 20+ full on downhill bikes, with their full-face helmets, body armour, etc catching a local bus. Totally crazy subculture... you'd never see that anywhere in Australia.
There's one particular guy, who definitely eats his gofio, 'cause when alongside his machine, they look like an armoured tank unit. I have to get a photo of it.
